Beijing-Kowloon Railway Handles 1.77 Billion Passenger Trips over 30 Years

  The Beijing-Kowloon Railway opened along its entire length on September 1, 1996. Stretching more than 2,000 kilometers from Beijing in the north to Hong Kong in the south, the railway runs through 10 provincial-level administrative regions and links northern and southern China.

  Over the past 30 years, the Beijing-Kowloon Railway has handled a total of 1.77 billion passenger trips and transported 1.053 billion tons of freight, facilitating economic exchanges between northern and southern China.
