Qingdao Connection Line Bored Through

         On April 30, the project of the connection line of the Weifang-Suqian High Speed Railway to Qingdao achieved new progress as the Yangshan Tunnel, the longest tunnel on the entire line, was successfully bored through, laying a solid foundation for accelerating subsequent construction. Upon completion, the project will greatly promote passenger travel and economic exchanges between the Jiaodong Peninsula and regions to the north such as the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, to the south such as the Yangtze River Delta region, and beyond.
