In April, durians from Thailand, Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries enter their peak market season. At 7 a.m., a China-Laos Railway "Lancang-Mekong Express" train fully loaded with Thai durians arrived on schedule at Kunming Wangjiayingxi Railway Station after a 26-hour journey.

To meet the high-volume transport demands of the durian peak season, railway authorities have increased the frequency of the China-Laos Railway "Lancang-Mekong Express" international cold chain trains from the regular two trains per day to around six trains per day during the peak. A "four priorities" guarantee mechanism for durian transport has been established, with the operating status of trains dynamically monitored throughout the entire journey.
