The Taizicheng-Xilinhaote Railway starts from Taizicheng Railway Station on the Chongli Railway in Zhangjiakou city, Hebei province in the south, passes through Zhangjiakou city and Xilingol League in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and extends north to Xilinhaote Railway Station. Upon full-line opening, the railway will form a rapid passenger corridor to Beijing from Xilingol League and the northern Zhangjiakou area in conjunction with the Chongli Railway and the Beijing-Zhangjiakou High Speed Railway.
