On March 25, China's first dual-power intelligent tamping machine for railway tunnels, named "Guoneng Fenjin", rolled off the production line, marking a breakthrough in the high-end, intelligent and green development of China's large railway maintenance machinery.

Railway tamping machines are key maintenance equipment for ensuring the safety and stability of railway lines. The key breakthrough of the newly produced dual-power intelligent tamping machine lies in the comprehensive innovation of its power system. The equipment adopts a dual-power system comprising a diesel generator set and a power battery, enabling seamless mode switching based on operational scenarios. When operating inside tunnels, it can operate entirely in pure electric drive mode, achieving zero exhaust emissions and significantly reduced operational noise. During long-distance transfers and operations on open-track sections, it can switch to hybrid mode, fully meeting the endurance and efficiency requirements for all-scenario operations.

Beyond the green power upgrade, the system integrates intelligent technologies such as automatic image recognition, automatic tamping and adaptive operations, effectively equipping the machine with a "smart brain" and "acute senses". This enables automated and precise railway tamping operations, substantially improving operational efficiency.

The successful development of this equipment provides a systematic solution for green and intelligent tunnel maintenance. This new type of equipment designed for tunnel maintenance will officially enter service in April this year.
