In December 2025, the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High Speed Railway officially opened for operation. On the Gaozhong Interchange Grand Bridge of the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High Speed Railway, fully enclosed sound barriers have drawn considerable attention. From their first application on the Beijing-Xiong'an Intercity Railway to their iterative upgrade for the high-humidity and high-corrosion environment along the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High Speed Railway, fully enclosed sound barriers enable high-speed trains passing near urban areas to operate with significantly reduced noise.
