Every time they go out to inspect and maintain bridges, it is after midnight. This has become the routine for a bridge maintenance team of the Changchun High-Speed Railway Infrastructure Section, whose members are mainly post-2000s employees. The team consists of seven members. As railway bridge and tunnel workers, they are responsible for the maintenance and inspection of the Toudao Songhua River Grand Bridge and Yuanchi Grand Bridge on the Shenyang-Baihe High Speed Railway. Currently, the Shenyang-Baihe High Speed Railway is facing its first Spring Festival travel rush since opening to traffic. Deep in the hinterland of the Changbai Mountains, these young railway bridge and tunnel workers conduct maintenance operations outdoors in temperatures approaching minus 30 degrees Celsius.

On September 28, 2025, the Shenyang-Baihe High Speed Railway officially opened for operation. The line ended the history of Fushun, Tonghua and Baishan cities having no high-speed railway service and shortened the travel time between Beijing and Changbai Mountain to four and a half hours, becoming a golden corridor for boosting the ice-and-snow economy and cultural tourism industry in Northeast China.
