In order to allow passengers to enjoy hometown specialty dishes during their journeys, the Huhhot Passenger Transport Section made preparations in advance. On the eve of the Spring Festival travel rush, it distributed questionnaires to passengers to solicit suggestions and opinions, incorporating the most desired dishes into train menus. The train dining service team was also organized to learn cooking techniques from well-known restaurants. Subsequently, the train dining cars launched several themed dish series, including “Splendid Rivers and Mountains,” “Affection of the Black Soil” and “Beautiful Northern Frontier.”
