This year, the number of CRE trains operating via the “eastern corridor” exceeded 5,000. The eastern corridor consists of the Manzhouli, Suifenhe and Tongjiang railway ports. Compared with the initial stage of operation, the range of goods transported by the trains has expanded to more than 1,000 categories, covering high value-added products such as computers, refrigerators and finished automobiles. The number of operating routes has increased to 27, reaching 14 countries including Poland, Germany and the Netherlands, and connecting more than 60 domestic cities such as Changsha, Zhengzhou and Chengdu, effectively supporting China’s foreign trade economy in deeper integration into the global industrial and supply chains.

To improve train operation efficiency, CR-Harbin gives priority to arranging train operation plans and, relying on the “digital port” system, strengthens coordination with customs and border inspection authorities. By continuously promoting paperless customs clearance and optimizing broad-gauge train reception procedures and shortening inspection times, CR-Harbin has steadily enhanced port transport organization efficiency, compressing clearance time for freight trains to as short as within 30 minutes and improving overall efficiency by nearly 10 percent.
