3.95 Billion Passenger Trips Completed on the National Railway Network
from January to October
From January to October this year, the national railway network handled 3.95 billion passenger trips, up 6.4 percent year-on-year and reaching a record high for the same period. Railway operations remained safe, stable and orderly across the country. On October 1 alone, 23.132 million passenger trips were made, setting a new single-day record. CR maintained the service scale of normal-speed passenger trains and ensured the operation of public-welfare “slow trains” and rural revitalization trains, providing convenient travel for residents in remote, border and formerly impoverished areas.
