Beijing Sub-Center Section of the Beijing-Tangshan
Intercity Railway Enters Trial Operation
After 39 days of integrated testing and commissioning, the Beijing city sub-center section of the Beijing-Tangshan Intercity Railway entered the trial operation phase on November 6, marking the final sprint toward opening.
The Beijing-Tangshan Intercity Railway runs approximately 149 kilometers and has eight stations: Beijing City Sub-Center Railway Station, Yanjiao Railway Station (renovated), Dachang Railway Station, Xianghe Railway Station, Baodi Railway Station, Yutiannan Railway Station, Tangshanxi Railway Station and Tangshan Railway Station (existing). The Yanjiao-Tangshan section has been in operation since late 2022. Once the Beijing city sub-center section opens, the entire line will be fully connected.
After opening, Beijing City Sub-Center Railway Station will offer convenient direct service to multiple destinations such as Tangshan city in Hebei province, Baodi district and Beichen district in Tianjin city, further reducing travel time within the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The new line will play an important role in relieving Beijing of non-capital functions and promoting economic and social development along the route.
