The New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor Trains Handle
More Than 1.2 Million TEUs This Year

On November 5, 80 containers carrying Australian kraft paper, Singaporean shortening and other goods departed from Qinzhougangdong Railway Station in Guangxi aboard train X9596 of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, bound for Xiaonanya Railway Station in Chongqing. As of November 4, the corridor’s trains have transported more than 1.2 million TEUs this year—reaching 1.214 million TEUs, an increase of 63.2 percent year-on-year.
Data shows that since the start of the 14th Five-Year Plan, the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor has transported a cumulative total of 4.441 million TEUs of containerized cargo. The corridor has become an important logistics route connecting China’s western region with ASEAN countries, promoting regional coordinated development and deepening opening-up. It serves as an efficient bridge for building a comprehensive opening-up pattern featuring coordinated land-sea, east-west connectivity.
