The New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor Freight Trains
in Guangxi Transport Over 1.2 Million TEUs This Year
On November 5, 80 containers carrying goods such as Australian kraft paper and Singaporean margarine departed from Qinzhougangdong Railway Station in Guangxi aboard the X9596 New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor freight train, bound for Xiaonanya Railway Station in Chongqing. With this departure, the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor freight trains have transported a cumulative total of over 1.2 million TEUs this year, reaching 1.214 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 63.2%.
As a key logistics channel connecting China’s western inland regions to global markets, the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor has, in recent years, relied on a convenient “single entrustment, door-to-door, container-to-container” transport model. It has become not only a “high-speed channel” for “Made in China” products reaching the world but also a “supply line” for global resources entering China.
