On October 23, a "Yangtze River Express" train loaded with corn departed from the Chengxi Port railway line in Jiujiang, Jiangxi province, heading for Sichuan via the Qilihu Railway Station in Jiujiang. This marked the first departure of the "Yangtze River Express" from Jiujiang, extending the service into Jiangxi after already covering Sichuan, Hubei and Hunan, thereby achieving full coverage of the three provinces—Hubei, Hunan and Jiangxi—in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.

The "Yangtze River Express" is a rail-water intermodal freight service operating along the Yangtze River's golden waterway. By adopting a "rail transport + Yangtze River shipping" model, it bypasses the bottleneck at the Three Gorges Dam, significantly enhancing the transport capacity of the Yangtze corridor and making overall logistics operations along the river more efficient.
