On September 29, the double main towers of the Chongqi Yangtze River road-rail bridge, located at the estuary of the Yangtze River, were topped out. With a total length of 4.09 km, the bridge is a key control project on the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu High Speed Railway, the main line along the Yangtze corridor of China's "Eight Verticals and Eight Horizontals" high-speed railway network. It is currently the world's largest span under-construction road-rail cable-stayed ballastless bridge and the highest-speed road-rail crossing designed so far on the Yangtze River.
