Breakthrough Achieved on the Jinyun Mountain Tunnel of the Second

Chengdu-Chongqing High Speed Railway

　　On September 27, the Jinyun Mountain Tunnel of the Second Chengdu-Chongqing High Speed Railway was successfully completed, laying a solid foundation for the full line to open as scheduled. The tunnel, located between Shapingba district and Beibei district of Chongqing, has a total length of 5,712 meters and is designed as a single-bore double-track tunnel.

　　As an important section of the Yangtze River Corridor under China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network, the Second Chengdu-Chongqing High Speed Railway has a total length of 292 kilometers and a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It serves as a vital transport link for the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.
