2025 Railway Technology Innovation Alliance Work Meeting Held in Beijing

  Reported on July 6, the 2025 Railway Technology Innovation Alliance work meeting was held on July 4 in Beijing. The meeting comprehensively reviewed the alliance's achievements over the past year and laid out key tasks for the coming period. It decided to establish a Standards Internationalization Working Committee. Alliance members reached a broad consensus to leverage their respective strengths, carry out joint technological research and industrial applications, accelerate the development of new railway productivity, achieve high-level technological self-reliance, and promote high-quality railway development.

  During the meeting, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, CR and Mass Transit Railway jointly signed an agreement to increase and expand the Railway Basic Research Joint Fund, further enlarging the fund's scale and enhancing cooperation depth and breadth between Hong Kong and mainland railway science and technology sectors. The alliance will extend its reach to more railway enterprises, universities and research institutes, attracting diverse forces to participate in railway science and technology research, achieving cross-disciplinary, full-domain, multi-scenario collaborative breakthroughs, and providing a broader platform for basic theory and industrial application research. The meeting's decision to set up the Standards Internationalization Working Committee aims to promote bilateral cooperation on railway standards between China and key countries, cultivate talent for international standards, continuously enhance China's railway international influence, discourse power and alliance competitiveness, and make greater contributions to serving the high-quality Belt and Road Initiative.
