The CRE trains departing from Xi'anguojigang Railway Station have increased their annual trips from less than 50 initially to nearly 5,000 currently. By the end of 2024, the cumulative number of trips had exceeded 25,000, accounting for about one-quarter of the national total. Key indicators such as the number of trips, full container load rate and freight volume rank among the top nationwide.
Xi'an's advantage as a land-sea combined transport hub with two-way connectivity between east and west is gradually emerging. Cargo sources from across the country converge and distribute through Xi'an, while goods imported via the CRE trains from Xi'an are distributed nationwide.
