On the morning of April 20, a Central Asia freight train loaded with "Made in Chongqing" polyester chips slowly departed from Chongqing Tuanjie Village Central Station. This marks the first regular Central Asia freight train launched from Chongqing, which will now run with a fixed frequency of two trains per month.
This freight train travels via the Horgos Port, crossing Kazakhstan, and is expected to reach Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, in about 12 days, covering a total distance of approximately 4,700 kilometers. The service will effectively support trade between Western China and Central Asia.
The train is carrying 55 containers of goods, worth over 14 million RMB, all supplied by Chongqing Wankai New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. The company's logistics manager, Lin Zheng, said, "Once the train operates regularly, the transport time for our goods to Central Asia will be shortened, the transport cycle will be more stable, and the transshipment process will be more streamlined, which will help our company expand into the Central Asian market."
