On January 21, the Railway 12306 system began selling tickets for February 4 (the seventh day of the Chinese New Year), marking the peak of post-festival return ticket sales. The system has remained stable and secure. By 9 a.m. on January 22, the system had sold a total of 257 million tickets for the Spring Festival travel period.

In response to concerns raised by some passengers about "ticket-snatching software" that reportedly charges extra fees or bundles services, the head of Railway 12306's Science and Technology Innovation Center clarified that the platform has always been committed to maintaining a fair and impartial ticketing environment. The Railway 12306 system has never collaborated with any third-party platforms, nor has it allocated ticket quotas to such platforms. Additionally, there has been no data linkage with any third-party entities. The "accelerated package" services offered by some "ticket-snatching software" are merely marketing gimmicks, and paying extra will not increase the chances of securing tickets. The railway authorities will continuously monitor and analyze pre-sale and waiting list data, adjusting capacity as necessary for popular routes and time slots, including adding temporary passenger trains and night-time high-speed trains.
