Taking advantage of the thriving import and export trade in China, the traffic volume of the middle corridor of the CRE trains has continued to grow since the beginning of this year. In the first quarter, 802 CRE trains passed through the Erenhot Railway Port, representing a year-on-year increase of 7.5% and setting a new historical high for the same period. Among them, 426 trains were outbound, and 376 inbound, marking a year-on-year increase of 0.5% and 16.8%, respectively.

In the first quarter, new routes were added to the CRE trains bound for Russia, indicating a stable growth in the operation routes of the middle corridor of CRE trains, which now totals 71 routes. The middle corridor serves as a gateway to over 60 regions in more than 10 countries including Germany, Poland, Russia, and Belarus, as well as most of the originating cities for CRE trains in China. The range of goods transported has expanded from electronic products such as mobile phones and computers to include over 10,000 categories, such as complete automobiles and parts, electromechanical machinery and equipment, furniture, and building materials. On the middle corridor, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has launched 6 CRE train routes.
