Erenhot Railway Port serves as a crucial node for the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor and the central route of the CRE train. Throughout the year, the transportation volume of cross-border goods at this port has maintained steady growth. CR-Huhhot, taking full advantage of the “daily communication and monthly meetings” mechanism between the railway authorities of China and Mongolia, has coordinated transport organization plans, continuously monitored information such as the quantity and structure of goods in storage and in transit, dynamically adjusted the categories of imported and exported goods, and spared no effort to ensure an increase in transport throughput at the port.
According to the person in charge at the port, this year has witnessed a substantial growth in exports of goods such as automobiles, machinery, and mobile phones, while imports mainly consist of bulk commodities like coal, timber, and grains. This development has provided robust support for the stable and smooth operation of the domestic and international industrial supply chains, contributing significantly to the high-quality development of the “Belt and Road” Initiative.
