CR-Lanzhou: Leveraging Transportation Advantages to Promote Integrated Development of Tourism and Transportation in Gansu

In recent days, CR-Lanzhou has been actively exploring the tourism resources of Gansu, strengthening the organization of transportation capacity during peak periods on weekends and holidays, adhering to the “one-day-one-schedule” approach, and scientifically and accurately allocating capacity according to the “peak schedule” and “weekend schedule.” CR-Lanzhou has timely launched tourist special trains to promote the high-quality development of the local cultural and tourism industry.

　　In response to the gradual growth in travel demand, CR-Lanzhou has closely collaborated with the Gansu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the government of Pingliang City. Together, they have introduced the branded tourist train “Circular Western China Train Tour - Kongtong Express.” This train is designed for weekend two-day tourism routes, providing a comprehensive high-end travel service integrating “food, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment.”

　　This tourist special train connects several high-quality cultural and tourist attractions in Pingliang, creating a unique “railway + cultural and tourist” wellness boutique tourism route. It has effectively played a positive role in attracting visitors to Pingliang, setting an example for providing integrated tourism and transportation services for local development. Building on its success, CR-Lanzhou continues to expand comprehensive tourism projects centered around Pingliang, extending the transportation linkage chain of “rail, road, and air,” and continuously promoting the integrated development of tourism and transportation in Gansu.

　　According to statistics, since 2022, the “Circular Western China Train Tour - Kongtong Express” tourist special train has operated 20 trips, carrying more than 5,000 passengers.
