On November 9 at 16:00, a “bulk-to-container” grain train loaded with 2,500 tons of corn, wheat, and soybeans departed from Guangzhou Xiayuan Railway Station towards Jiangxi. As of November 8, such grain trains operated by CR-Guangzhou in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area have accumulated shipments of 19,035 cars, totaling 1.1 million tons this year.

The “bulk-to-container” grain trains transform the transportation of grain cargo arriving by sea at ports from traditional bulk cargo transport to container transport. This transformation significantly reduces the risks of moisture damage and contamination during transportation. Furthermore, it provides advantages such as low logistics costs and fast turnover. CR-Guangzhou actively collaborates with grain storage and processing as well as feed companies, understanding customer needs, and providing safe, high-quality, and efficient services. Through various modes of transportation, including sea-rail and road-rail combined transport, they are creating a green and efficient grain “bulk-to-container” collection and distribution network, reaching areas such as Hunan, Jiangxi, Guizhou, and Yunnan.

In the future, CR-Guangzhou will continue to leverage the “bulk-to-container” policy, fully exploiting the advantages of railway freight in terms of safety, efficiency, and punctuality. They plan to increase the frequency of train operations, providing more abundant transport capacity support for grain transportation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
