Since November, the freight delivery and car loading of thermal coal on national railways have maintained a strong growth, which marks that the railway sector has achieved significant results in the special action of thermal coal supply.

As of December 6, the national railways registered a thermal coal delivery of 164 million tons since November, with a year-on-year increase of 41.29 million tons, including 20 days with a thermal coal car loading over 65,000 cars per day. In the period, the daily car loading of thermal coal on national railways reached 64,453, up 33.8% year on year. The coal storage of 363 power plants with direct coal supply by railway has reached 70.63 million tons, up 136.8% than that at the end of September. These power plants have coal storage enough for 25.3 days' consumption on average, 11.3 days more than that at the end of September. The special action also ensured that coal storage of all these plants is enough for consumption of 12 days and above.
