With the opening of Rizhao-Qufu Section of the Rizhao-Lankao HSR on November 26, Yimeng old revolutionary base area was linked to the national HSR network and "equipped with accelerators" for poverty alleviation and becoming well-off.
The Rizhao-Qufu Section of Rizhao-Lankao HSR is located in southern Shandong. The total length of the section is 235 kilometers and the design speed is 350 km/h. There are 8 stations in this section, namely, Rizhao West Station, Lijiazhai Station, Junan North Station, Linyi North Station, Feixian North Station, Mengshan Station, Sishui South Station and Qufu East Station, and all stations are newly built except the Rizhao West Station and Qufu East Station. The line has an initial operating speed of 300 km/h.
In the initial operation period of the Rizhao-Qufu Section, the railway sector will arrange 14 pairs of daily EMU trains, 3 pairs of weekend EMU trains and 3 pairs of peak-day EMU trains. The shortest running time between Rizhao and Qufu will be reduced from the current 3 hours and 13 minutes to 1 hour and 14 minutes.
Before the Rizhao-Qufu Section of Rizhao-Lankao HSR was put into operation, CHINA RAILWAY has carefully organized relevant authorities to strictly implement various regulations and standards, conduct integrated commissioning & test, inspection, acceptance and safety assessment on various professional equipment of the HSR, and comprehensively optimize and adjust the track status, pantograph-contact wire performance, train control, and communication & signaling system, ensuring that the HSR can meet the requirements for safe and stable operation. At present, the HSR already meets the requirements for commercial operation.
The Rizhao-Qufu Section of Rizhao-Lankao HSR is an important connecting line in China's HSR network of "eight north-south lines and eight east-west lines". The east end of the line connects Qingdao-Yancheng Railway via Rizhao West Station, and the west end connects Beijing-Shanghai HSR via Qufu East Station. After the completion and opening, this HSR will form a circular HSR corridor in Shandong province with the Beijing-Shanghai HSR, Jinan-Qingdao HSR and the Qingdao-Yancheng Railway. It will greatly facilitate the travel of people along the line, accelerate the development of tourism resources in southern Shandong, and is of great significance to helping Yimeng old revolutionary base area overcome poverty and promoting the coordinated economic and social development of Shandong.
