Yinkongshan Tunnel Breaks Through on Hubei Section

of Hefei-Wuhan High-Speed Railway

　　In mid-August, Yinkongshan Tunnel, the first tunnel longer than five kilometers on the Hubei section of the Hefei-Wuhan High-Speed Railway, broke through, marking a milestone in tunnel construction along the line.

　　The Hefei-Wuhan High-Speed Railway runs from Hefei in the east to Wuhan in the west and has a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It is a key section of the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu High-Speed Railway along the Yangtze River.
