Girder Erection on Qingdao Link of Weifang-Suqian
High-Speed Railway Passes Halfway Mark
On July 20, more than half of the box girders had been erected along the Qingdao link of the Weifang-Suqian High-Speed Railway, marking faster progress in construction of the main works. Located in the southern part of the Shandong Peninsula, the link is 108.78 kilometers long and has a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. Once completed, it will significantly improve rail connectivity between the Jiaodong Peninsula and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region to the north, as well as the Yangtze River Delta to the south.
