Box Girder Erection Completed for Entire Second
Chengdu-Chongqing High Speed Railway

The task of box girder erection for the entire Second Chengdu-Chongqing High Speed Railway was successfully completed on May 5, laying a solid foundation for the full-line opening and operation of the project.
The Second Chengdu-Chongqing High Speed Railway is an important component of the Yangtze River Corridor, part of the "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network. Starting from Chongqingbei Railway Station of the Chongqing hub, the line runs westward through Liangjiang New Area, Shapingba District, Bishan District, Tongliang District and Dazu District of Chongqing, and Ziyang city and Chengdu city in Sichuan province, before connecting to Chengdu Railway Station of the Chengdu hub. The main line has a total length of 292 km and a designed speed of 350 km/h, with conditions reserved for future speed increases on certain sections.
