On December 31, 2025, track-laying work officially commenced at the construction site of the Ruijin-Meizhou Railway in Ruijin city, Jiangxi province. The railway connects Ruijin city in Jiangxi province with Meizhou city in Guangdong province. Upon completion and operation, it will improve transportation infrastructure in the old revolutionary base area of southern Jiangxi, facilitate the orderly flow of resources within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and promote coordinated regional development.
