On November 11, the final segmental beam on the elevated level of the main station building of Shanghaidong Railway Station, the Eastern hub, was successfully poured, marking the official topping-out of the concrete structure. The project has now fully transitioned from upper civil works to the installation of curtain walls, roof steel structures and interior fit-out.
Located in Zhuqiao town of Pudong New Area, Shanghaidong Railway Station sits about 5 kilometers from Terminal 1 of Shanghai Pudong International Airport. With a total construction area exceeding 1.3 million square meters—including approximately 160,000 square meters dedicated to the high-speed rail station building—the station will feature 15 platforms and 30 tracks. Once completed, it will become a major integrated transport hub combining national railway, metropolitan railway, urban rail transit and airline check-in services.
