The Maoping Port rail link of the Three Gorges Hub starts from Yichangnan Railway Station in Hubei province and ends at Maoping Port in Zigui county, Yichang city, with a total length of 39.59 kilometers. Once completed, the line will form an integrated multimodal transport system—combining river, highway and railway—together with the Three Gorges south-bank and north-bank expressways. It will enhance water-land transshipment capacity across the Three Gorges and help ease traffic pressure on the Three Gorges Ship Lock.
