Successful Completion of Safety Standard Demonstration Line Connectivity Test on Hangzhoudong-Changshanan Section of Shanghai-Kunming High Speed Railway

Recently, the connectivity test of the safety standard demonstration line on the Hangzhoudong-Changshanan section of the Shanghai-Kunming High Speed Railway was successfully completed. The Fuxing EMU train reached a maximum test speed of 385 km/h, and all equipment indicators performed well. Following acceptance evaluation, the Fuxing EMU trains on the Hangzhoudong-Changshanan section of the railway will be able to operate regularly at the high standard speed of 350 km/h. This will effectively shorten the spatiotemporal distance between cities along the route and further enhance the passenger travel experience.

The Hangzhoudong-Changshanan section of the Shanghai-Kunming High Speed Railway is part of the national "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high speed rail network's Shanghai-Kunming corridor. The line is 924 kilometers long, passing through Zhejiang, Jiangxi and Hunan provinces, connecting the Yangtze River Delta Urban  Agglomeration, the Poyang Lake ecological economic zone and the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan City Group, holding a critical position in the trunk line network. Since the section's opening in 2014, it has maintained a regular operating speed of 310 km/h with consistent safety and stability, winning wide passenger favor. With the completion of the safety standard demonstration line, Fuxing EMU trains running between Hangzhou and Changsha will be able to maintain a regular high-speed operation at 350 km/h, further unleashing the overall efficiency of the high-speed rail network, strengthening intercity connections, and injecting new momentum into regional economic and social development.
