       The new Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei High Speed Railway is a key part of the Yangtze River corridor in China's national mid- to long-term railway network plan "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" lines. It serves as a rapid direct link between the cities along the northern bank of the Yangtze River and the metropolitan areas of Nanjing and Shanghai. Upon completion, the project will play a vital role in optimizing the railway network layout along the Yangtze River region, supporting the coordinated development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and promoting high-quality integrated development in the Yangtze River Delta.
