Smooth Progress Made in the Shield Engineering of Zhanjiang Bay Subsea Tunnel
The Zhanjiang Bay Subsea Tunnel Shield Engineering Project, which is the key project for Guangzhou-Zhanjiang Railway contracted by China Railway 14th Bureau Group, is under smooth construction. The project stretches 7,551 meters in length, with an excavation of 14.33 meters in diameters. To date, 4,546 meters of tunnel has been dug.
The main line of Guangzhou-Zhanjiang Railway has a total length of 401km and a design speed of 350km/hour. After it is put into use, the railway will achieve 90 minutes of mutual access between downtown Guangzhou and downtown Zhanjiang, greatly promoting the integration of Zhanjiang into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
