Meizhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge is the first sea-crossing low-pylon cable-stayed HSR bridge in China, as well as a critical control project of the Fuzhou-Xiamen HSR. Conquering difficulties such as the turbulent winds and raging sea waves, the project constructors and owner have overcome many challenging difficulties including offshore super-long trestle and the large-diameter deep-water pile foundation, paving the way for the completion of track laying as scheduled.
