Integrated Commissioning & Test Begins on the Entire Chongli Railway

  On October 22, with the comprehensive test train moving from Beijing-Zhangjiakou HSR to Daijiaying No.1 Bridge connecting with Chongli Railway at Xiahuayuan North Station, Chongli Railway, the key supporting transportation infrastructure project for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, started the integrated commissioning & test on the whole line.

  The newly-built Chongli Railway is located in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. It starts from Xiahuayuan North Station of Beijing-Zhangjiakou HSR in the south, runs north via Xiahuayuan District, Xuanhua District, Chicheng County, Chongli District and ends at Taizicheng Station in the Taizicheng Olympic Village, with a total length of 52.2 km and a design speed of 250km/h.

  The construction of Chongli Railway was commenced on October 9, 2016. The railway will be put into operation in parallel with Beijing-Zhangjiakou HSR; it will mainly serve the Chongli competition area of 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing and is also an important part of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei inter-city railway network.

  It is reported that all the EMU drivers participating in the integrated commissioning & test on Beijing-Zhangjiakou HSR are from Huairou North Locomotive Depot of China Railway Beijing Group Co., Ltd. Since the beginning of the integrated commissioning & test, the Depot has overcome difficulties and established six discipline supporting teams. It implemented careful study and active communication on the test plan and dispatched excellent EMU drivers to learn the details of the route and equipment along the line. In view of the complex conditions of Beijing-Zhangjiakou HSR line (with up to 5 long and steep grade sections and maximum gradient of 30‰), the Depot held discussions on the high slope risks based on the actual situation at the site. According to LKJ basic data, it sorted out the locations of high slope sections, neutral sections and relay stations, strengthened the tests of high slope operation sections, checked and confirmed in detail the safety measures for EMU operation on high slope sections and long and steep grade sections, prepared the track data prompt cards and route schematics, improved the operation instructions and operation prompt cards, to ensure the smooth operation of the integrated commissioning & test, which lays a solid foundation for the official opening.
