"Beautiful Sky Road" Tourist Train Makes Inaugural Run

 on Fifth Anniversary of Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway Opening

        June 25 marked the fifth anniversary of the opening of the Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway. The upgraded tourist train "Beautiful Sky Road," developed by CR-Qingzang, made its inaugural departure from Xining Railway Station. As China's first high-altitude electrified railway, the Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway has transported over 6.25 million passengers and over 2 million tons of freight over the past five years, greatly improving transport conditions in southeastern Xizang. The inaugural train features enhanced sightseeing amenities and sleeping accommodations with improved oxygen supply systems, offering a seamless journey through the full scenic corridor from Xining to Nyingchi, tapping into the plateau's tourism potential through the integration of rail and cultural tourism and supporting prosperity for the people and development in Xizang.
