During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday transport period from June 18 to 22, national railways carried a cumulative total of 82.588 million passengers, up 4.9% year-on-year, with railway transport nationwide remaining safe, smooth and orderly.
During the holiday transport period, national railways implemented peak-period timetables, averaging 12,659 passenger trains per day, with capacity promptly increased on popular routes and sections, and a cumulative total of 520 additional cross-bureau overnight high speed railway trains operated.
