High-Speed Railway Spanning Guizhou Mountains,

Opening Up Smoother and Broader Connectivity

 

  On November 28, the Panzhou-Xingyi High Speed Railway was officially put into operation. In the final year of the   14th Five-Year Plan period, all nine cities and prefectures in Guizhou province have now achieved high-speed railway connectivity to their administrative centers. In 2014, the opening of the Guiyang-Guangzhou High Speed Railway ushered Guizhou into the era of high-speed railway travel. Entering the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Guizhou’s high-speed railway network has continued to break new ground, extend its reach, and take shape at a pace of, on average, one new line opening each year. To date, 1,906 kilometers of high-speed railway form a solid backbone of Guizhou’s high-speed railway network.
