On July 1, on the occasion of celebrating the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the Old Revolutionary Base in Northern Shaanxi welcomed the first 160km/h power-concentrated Fuxing EMU train. At 8 a.m., D5095 Fuxing EMU train departed from Yulin, heading south for Xi'an, the ancient capital. This is the first 160km/h power-concentrated Fuxing EMU train running in Shaanxi Province.
At about 7 a.m., local people welcomed the train by the cheerful yangko dance and the resonant folk song "Beautiful Yulin" at Yulin Station, turning the Station into a sea of joy. In order to record this moment, passengers stood along the Fuxing EMU train and took pictures with the train using their mobile phones and cameras. They are very excited about the new changes brought by the development of railway to their travel in northern Shaanxi. After the operation of the Fuxing EMU train, the travel time between Xi'an and Yulin is reduced from over 7 hours to 4 hours and 46 minutes (the minimum).
At present, there are 3 pairs of Fuxing EMU trains operating between Xi'an and Yulin, which stop at Mizhi, Suide, Qingjian, Zichang, Yan'an, Fuxian and Luochuan en route. They greatly improved the travel conditions of the people in the old revolutionary base area, playing a positive role in developing tourism economy, promoting industrial development and assisting poverty alleviation.
Yulin is a famous cultural and eco-tourism city, with famous cultural and natural landscapes such as Zhenbeitai Fortress, the grandest fortress of the Great Wall, and Hongshixia, which is called the Penglai Island (the island for immortals in Chinese mythology) in northern Shaanxi. Now on holidays or weekends, people can board the Fuxing EMU train with their families and friends in the morning and arrive in Yulin at noon, enjoying a relaxing journey.
