On June 22, the X8013 CRE train, carrying 182 vehicles, departed from Tuanjiecun Railway Station in Chongqing — the first time a full CRE train consist has employed the newly commissioned universal vehicle containers. These new-type containers offer greater per-unit cargo capacity: on outbound journeys they enable direct single-container whole-vehicle shipments, while on return trips they can carry various types of containerizable cargo, significantly improving transport efficiency.
