On April 17, intercity train 80646 carrying iron ore imported from Mongolia slowly departed from the standard-gauge yard at Erenhot Railway Port in Inner Mongolia and headed for Gaoxian Railway Station in Shanxi province. This is the first imported iron ore intercity train from the Erenhot area since the approval of the China (Inner Mongolia) Pilot Free Trade Zone, marking a further upgrade of the China-Mongolia cross-border resource transport corridor.
