New Multimodal Transport Channel Between Wuhan and Southeast Asia

Recently, a multimodal transport train loaded with 35 container cars departed from Xianglushan Railway Station, located adjacent to the Yangluo Port's rail-water intermodal transportation phase two dedicated line. After arriving at Nansha Port, the cargo was transferred to ships heading to Vietnam. This marks the first multimodal transport train from Wuhan's Yangluo Port to Nansha Port, transporting goods by sea to Southeast Asia.

"Before the opening of Xianglushan Railway Station, multimodal transport trains from Yangluo Port could only depart from Shekou Railway Station, 20 kilometers away. As a result, it often caused transportation bottlenecks when the transportation volume was high. With the completion of Xianglushan Railway Station, the transportation pressure on Wuhanbei Marshalling Station and Shekou Railway Station has been greatly relieved, releasing the transportation capacity of Wuhan's railway hub and providing more sufficient transportation capacity guarantee for Yangluo Port's multimodal transport." explained Zhao Chunsheng, the duty officer of Xianglushan Railway Station Freight Office.
