Since June, Yangtze River Delta railways optimized capacity allocation, enhanced thermal coal loading and unloading, and made full efforts to ensure thermal coal supply. As of August 17, they have transported a cumulative total of 10.967 million tons of thermal coal, marking a year-on-year increase of 16.9%. Notably, on July 18, they loaded 2927 trains with 184,000 tons of coal, setting a new record for daily coal loading volume.

CR-Shanghai has improved communication and coordination with 18 key power generation companies within its jurisdiction. This enables CR-Shanghai to accurately recieve information such as the maximum inventory levels, minimum alert values, daily coal arrival, and consumption of these companies. This information guides their efforts in balancing supply and demand, effectively providing transport capacity, and conducting precise coal transportation. CR-Shanghai has developed a “thermal coal loading calendar” for major coal loading points and implemented 24-hour monitoring at 5 key stations to enhance daily production organization, optimize operational processes, and meet the outbound thermal coal transport needs of key coal mines such as Huainan City, Huaibei City, Xinji Town, and Northern Anhui region.

In response to the continuous increase in the volume of coal returning to ports this year, CR-Shanghai has leveraged the role of coal storage in port yards within its jurisdiction. They have strengthened the organization of coal loading for return shipments, and improved the efficiency of integrated rail and water transportation to better meet the coal demand of power plants.
