Railway Sector Implements Q4 Diagram Adjustment and Stage-II Operation Diagram for Traffic Volume and Income Increase on October 11

  Over the past few days, the railway sector has further strengthened its sense of responsibility and urgency, earnestly implemented various plans and measures to increase traffic volume and income, strengthened the transportation organization, made good utilization of the channel capacity, and made every effort to ensure the increase in traffic volume and income.

  On October 11, the railway sector implemented the Q4 Diagram Adjustment. October 8-14 is the transition period for diagram adjustment. According to the unified deployment of China State Railway Group Co., Ltd., all CR regional groups have strengthened the organization and leadership for implementing the diagram adjustment, carefully deployed the alternate plan, and earnestly carried out the train stock alternation work to ensure a safe, smooth and orderly transition. All units concerned have strengthened the quality of train operation equipment, organized the training and study of personnel in major train operation trades and key positions, strengthened the junction management, and guaranteed the orderly connection of various jobs and links.

  While implementing the Q4 diagram adjustment, on October 11, the railway sector implemented in parallel the stage-II operation diagram for traffic volume and income increase. In order to increase traffic volume and income, the railway sector has adjusted the structure of passenger and freight transportation and improved the capacity of freight passages. Through measures such as suspending some passenger trains in off-season, adjusting the "window" for daily maintenance, and increasing the operation lines of freight trains, it has effectively improved the basic guarantee capacity of freight transport increment. In the early stage, CR has completed the diagram adjustment for Tianjin-Shanhaiguan, Beijing-Shanghai, Beijing-Kowloon and other key lines for traffic volume increase, optimized the passenger and freight train operation structure and "window" arrangement in sections with tight capacity, and improved the freight transport capacity. Overall arrangement was made for the operation of EMUs during the off-season of passenger transport, and measures such as step-by-step replacement of operating trains and temporary reallocation were taken to improve the passenger transport capacity of Beijing-Shanghai, Beijing-Guangzhou and Nanning-Guangzhou railway lines. The temporary reallocation of EMUs from Northern China to Southern China has been deployed and implemented, and the locomotive routing and crew routing are further optimized.
