Largest "High-Speed Rail 4S Shop" in Northwest China Completes Static Acceptance

On March 24, the EMU depot and supporting facilities project at Xi'andong Railway Station completed static acceptance, marking the official transition of Xi'andong Railway Station from the critical construction phase to the preparation stage for operation.

As the largest station-supporting EMU operation and maintenance hub in Northwest China, the EMU depot and supporting facilities project at Xi'andong Railway Station features a total track length of 8.19 kilometers and comprises 28 building construction projects, with a total designed floor area exceeding 90,000 square meters. The facility integrates multiple core functions including railway EMU inspection and maintenance and comprehensive logistical support, serving as the "operational heart" ensuring the efficient functioning of the high-speed railway network—truly a "high-speed rail 4S shop".

As the core hub of Shaanxi's "star-shaped" high-speed railway network, Xi'andong Railway Station has a total yard scale of 13 platforms and 27 tracks, with a total building area of 394,000 square meters and an estimated annual passenger throughput of 36.5 million trips. Once operational, it will significantly alleviate passenger flow pressure on the Xi'an railway hub, making travel more convenient and efficient for citizens and passengers, while simultaneously improving the regional high-speed rail network layout and promoting regional economic development.
