Land Ports in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Support Construction

      　In the first eight months of this year, the Torugart and Irkeshtam land ports cleared 330,200 tons of exported construction materials for the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway, up 180 percent year-on-year, helping ensure a steady supply of materials, machinery and equipment for the project. The two ports also processed over 70,000 cross-border trips by construction workers, up 293 percent year-on-year, helping meet workforce commuting needs for the overseas project.
