China-Laos Railway Marks Four Years of Operation, Carrying

 Over 62.5 Million Passengers

　　As of December 2, the China-Laos Railway has been in operation for four years, maintaining a stable transport safety performance. It has cumulatively carried more than 62.5 million passenger trips and transported over 72.5 million tons of goods. The “golden corridor” effect continues to expand, injecting new vitality into regional economic and social development.

　　Over the past four years since the opening of the China-Laos Railway, CR has thoroughly implemented the central authorities’ instructions on building the railway into a golden route. Upholding principles of high standards, sustainability and people-centered development, CR has worked closely with the Lao railway authorities to operate and manage the China-Laos Railway effectively. These efforts have promoted high-level connectivity between China and ASEAN countries, with continuous growth in passenger and freight volumes, significant improvement in service quality and an expanding spillover effect, striving to build the China-Laos Railway into a road of development, happiness and friendship for the peoples of both countries.
