On the morning of June 27th, a New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor cross-border train loaded with 40 TEUs of chemical materials left from Xiaonanya Railway Station in Jiangjin, Chongqing. It will reach Malaysia in nine days via Laos and Thailand. At the same time, another train carrying 48 TEUs of agricultural products, food and daily necessities from ASEAN countries departed from Sungai Way Railway Station in Selangor, Malaysia. It will reach Chongqing in nine days, too.

Among the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor trains, this is the first international freight train that runs across China, Laos, Thailand, and Malaysia, transports by rail during the entire journey, and operates in both directions. It is also a fruit of further extension and exploration of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor trains since December 2023, when the China-Laos-Thailand freight train started its operation.
